Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities Information:
- Makes correct settings on welders including speeds and feeds as well as proper setups of products to be welded
- Assembles and welds a variety of sheet metal products of varying thicknesses and gages
- Uses both MIG and TIG welding processes
- Welds a variety of wiring enclosures boxes or other special weldments required for production
- Exercises good housekeeping in work area.
- Observes good safety practices in performance of job.
Necessary Skills:
- After 90 days of general direction from Class A welder must pass proscribed welding test.
Must be able to read complicated drawings decimal dimensions on blueprints utilize precise measuring devices and use to perform own setups.
