Job Description
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant to join the IRS Reporting Team as partof Commercial Mortgage Servicing. Learn more about the career areas and business divisionsat .
In this role you will:
- Learn and support multiple processes related to IRS reporting and tax withholdings.
- Support W-8 & W-9 reporting of taxes as well as prepare year end statement for borrowers
- Report operational losses across Commercial Mortgage Servicing managing a general mailbox for reporting and various internal requests
- Analyze and compare reports to identify the population of withholdings accommodations and exceptions/exclusions which may vary by portfolio and coordinate across business partners to resolve discrepancies/barriers
- Ensure adherence to compliance legal and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed
- Provide updates on project logs and operations reviews
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers colleagues and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects teams or serve as a peer mentor to staff interns and external contractors
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of Analytics experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience training military experience education
- 3 years of IRS reporting tax withholding or commercial mortgage tax experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong accounting experience
- Detail oriented
- The ability to meet deadlines and work in a deadline driven environment
- Experience with IRS Reporting on commercial real estate loans
- Experience with TAXIE
- Reporting experience
