Job Description
The purpose of this position is to help bring Gods children unto Jesus Christ by increasing understanding of His Church and its divinely appointed responsibilities of assisting in gathering Israel on both sides of the veil and preparing the world for the Second Coming of the Savior.
This is accomplished in part through the creation of engaging unified messaging with greater reach and efficiency. Church messages are delivered via television film web print mobile social media and other delivery channels in multiple languages. We always seek new improved and more innovative ways to bring the world unto Christ.
The Program Manager oversees the products and project management effort in a project portfolio. The Program Manager is a key resource in ensuring initiating department publishing products are coordinated and aligned in the Product Publishing Process (PPP). They are a main interface for relationship management with external clients. Work complexity is normally focused on project level results that are a part of a larger product plan. This is a career level role.
This role will support Temple Square programs and operations to create a world-class guest experience that helps guests learn more about Jesus Christ
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the success of small to medium projects with low to moderate levels of scope/complexity connected to a project portfolio.
- Maintain relationships and favorable contacts with customers including Product Managers and Directors.
- Utilize project management tools and reporting to monitor and report program and project health.
- Resolve customer issues/problems sit in on customer product planning meetings.
- Ensure the products and projects delivered to clients meet their strategic and project plans.
- Work with product manager to establish project prioritization within the program/product plans.
- Communicate status of program and deliverable project(s).
- Approve projects based on the business case budget and resource availability and alignment with program and product plan.
- Administer product change controls.
- Provide product-level financial forecasting quarterly.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Business Management or related field.
- 5 years Program and/or Project Management experience.
- Ability to make informed decisions using data.
- Ability to understand and manage small to medium business operations.
- Ability to lead small to medium teams and projects using influence.
- Ability to champion process and policy.
- Ability to get results in a matrix organization.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment.
Preferred:
- Masters degree with 3 years Program and/or Project Management experience.
- PMP certification.
