The Role:


As anAftermarket Insights Consultantwithin the Cat Oil & Gas aftermarket team you will play a pivotal role in driving services growth by delivering actionable business insights. Youll collaborate with internal Oil & Gas teams and corporate partners to analyze customer behavior represent the voice of the division and support the execution of Corporate Account Agreements (CAAs) to ensure strategic alignment and accountability.

What You Will Do:

  • Analyze Cat Oil & Gas aftermarket data to develop solutions for medium to complex business challenges.
  • Lead and manage multiple analytics projects using advanced statistical and digital methods.
  • Visualize and present insights using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Collaborate with Customer Relationship Managers and Territory Managers to develop competitive aftermarket proposals.
  • Support CAA execution through coordination with internal teams and global dealers.

What You Have:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science Business Marketing or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python (NumPy SciPy pandas) SQL and DAX.
  • Extensive experience in dashboard development data pipeline optimization and visualization tools.
  • Expertise in data validation cleansing and standardization to ensure high data quality.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated initiative in researching and applying new analytical methods and technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to convey complex data to non-technical audiences.

Top Candidate Will Also Have:

  • Deep understanding of the Cat Oil & Gas aftermarket portfolio
  • Prior experience developing and implementing dashboards
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen

What You Have Skills Knowledge & Experiences:

Effectiveness Measurement: Knowledge of effective measurement techniques and ability to measure the quality and quantity of work effort for the purpose of improvement.

  • Under guidance reports measurement results in actionable form to management.
  • Interprets and analyzes results vs. established benchmarks.
  • Establishes short-range and long-range improvement goals for own function.
  • Uses assigned measurements for own function or specialization.
  • Under guidance develops action plans to achieve those goals.

Products and Services: Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations.
Level Working Knowledge:

  • Obtains information about product and service linkages with other products and services elsewhere in organization.
  • Researches the target market and how the product and services are sold and delivered.
  • Explains current status delivery alternatives and announced updates to products and services.
  • Summarizes key features of major products or services in own unit.
  • Assesses own units product alternatives costs and pricing.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients vendors and peers.
Level Working Knowledge:

  • Provides prompt and effective responses to client requests and interactions.
  • Monitors client satisfaction levels on a regular basis.
  • Alerts own team to problems in client satisfaction.
  • Differentiates the roles and responsibilities in a business relationship.
  • Works with clients to address critical issues and resolve major problems.

Pricing Models and Analytics: Knowledge of pricing tools techniques and methods; ability to assess analytical and pricing models through the use of statistical principles.
Level Working Knowledge:

  • Interprets common risk/pricing models statistical data and reports; resolves common modeling problems.
  • Assists in calculating data for monitoring measuring analyzing and reporting aggregate risks.
  • Reports the results of risk pricing models/analytics and validation to management.
  • Participates in gathering and documenting data and statistical measurements.
  • Follows proper procedures for using the functions and features of risk measurement and statistical tools.

Software Product Training: Knowledge of software product training; ability to create and deliver training on the implementation operation and utilization of technology products and systems.
Level Working Knowledge:

  • Incorporates specific audience circumstances and needs into instruction.
  • Provides demos and instruction on basic functions and features of the product.
  • Reviews and provides feedback on technical training materials and content.
  • Delivers programs using lesson plans and materials of varying styles and degrees of detail.
  • Walks through available training and learning resources and coaches on effective usage.

Additional Details:

  • Location:Houston TX is the preferred location; Peoria IL or Lafayette IN as the optional locations.
  • Work Schedule:5 days per week in office (M-F)
  • Travel:Less than 5%
  • Relocation is not available

Summary Pay Range:

$95640.00 - $143520.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
