This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET) where were developing the digital infrastructure needed to build the road to space with an emphasis on digital capabilities required to advance Blue Origins mission. Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies.

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Mobile Platform Developer to join our team. This role is pivotal in establishing mobile solutions as a core capability within our organization. The Senior Mobile Platform Developer will be responsible for architecting and building a mobile development platform ensuring seamless integration and optimized user experiences across various applications.

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise leadership skills and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

  • Relocation provided
  • Travel expected up to 10% of the time

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and enhance core platform modules and features such as authentication offline support device integration notifications and consistent UI frameworks.
  • Ensure all mobile applications can leverage these shared services for cohesive functionality.
  • Design scalable secure and resilient software architectures for the mobile platform.
  • Create modular reusable components APIs and libraries.
  • Provide guidelines toolkits and support to empower development teams.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of mobile solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Ensure the platform can accommodate emerging technologies platforms and business requirements over time.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level software engineers to improve their coding practices and designs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development with at least 3 years in a senior role.
  • Proficient in languages like Swift Java Kotlin or React Native.
  • Familiarity with iOS and Android development kits and their respective APIs.
  • Understanding of user interface and user experience principles.
  • Working effectively with other developers designers and stakeholders.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Ability to earn trust maintain positive and professional relationships and contribute to a culture of inclusion

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $177567.00-$248593.80
