Solenis LLC is seeking a Principal Scientist for its office in Wilmington DE:
Participate in research projects directed toward the development of novel aqueous systems of hydrophobic materials (emulsions and dispersions) for applications in papermaking systems especially the sizing of paper with an emphasis on internal sizing. The position requires a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field and five years progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or any related occupation to include: 5 years experience working with the papermaking process; 5 years experience making alkyl ketene dimer (AKD) and alkenyl succinic anhydride (ASA) emulsions; 5 years experience making rosin emulsions; and 5 years experience working with colloid stabilization systems. Hybrid work from home schedule is permitted. Employee must live within commuting distance of the Solenis Research Center in Wilmington Delaware. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education experience and training. Experience may have been gained concurrently.
