Description

VEI Plano is seeking an experienced Clinical ManageroverOphthalmology.
Reporting directly to the Hospital Director the Clinical Manager is responsible fordeveloping andmaintaininga team of engaged and empowered team members toprovideexceptional service to our patients clients and referral partners.
In this role the Clinical Manager works with the Director to promote a culture of collaboration foster career development and cultivate inclusivity. Through deliveringoptimalEmployee Experiences and MedVet Experiences the Clinical Manager contributes to Healthy Growth.
Whatyoulldo:
  • Ensure their departments healthcare team has the resources and tools needed to deliver theVEIExperience
  • Coach team members on fundamentals of process improvement ensuring the department isoperatingin an efficient and sustainablemanner
  • Developmonitor and adjust schedules according to workflow to maximizeefficiency
  • Make recommendations in collaboration with the service/department representative for the purchase of needed supplies andequipment
  • Manage and influence department financial decisions andhealth
  • Effectively influence behavior and lead change in a rapidly growing organization while fostering a collaborative service-oriented culture
  • Providea comprehensive clinical onboarding training schedule for all teammembers
  • Provideongoing and continuous performance feedback instruction and follow up to team members as part of a healthy Employee Experience
  • Negotiate and mediate conflict in partnership with the HR Partner
  • Perform initial screening of client and referral partner concerns and collaborate with the hospital dyad toresolve
  • Providewritten performance feedback and a development plan annually for each member of their healthcareteam
  • Attract andretainexceptional team members byprovidingan enriching Employee Experience thatprovidesmeaningful work career growth and ongoing professionaldevelopment.
  • Split time between clinical and administrative duties with a minimum of 50% of the time spent on administrative tasks (this varies depending on the hospital/department size number of direct reports and staffing needs)
Who you are:
  • The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years of experience in a management or leadership roleand must have Veterinary experience.
Additionalrequirements for this position include:
  • Associatedegree or a combination of equivalent college level courses and experiencepreferred
  • Excellent interpersonal customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Capability to work well in a fast-pacedenvironment
  • Ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities to meetdeadlines
  • Highly professional and able to work with people on all levels of theorganization
  • Must have standard knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must be able to work a minimum of40 hoursin the hospital unless otherwise approved by the Hospital Director
  • Must be flexible to meet the needs of the department which includes a mix of after-hour and weekendcoverage
