Job Description
Position: Data Analyst Department/Division: Information Technology Services / Administration
Brockton Area Multi Services Inc.
FLSA Status: Exempt - Hybrid positioned weekly in Brockton MA office
General Statement of Duties: Under the direction of the Director of Applications in the Information Technology and Services department the Data Analyst plays a critical role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive strategic decisions. This role combines data analysis data governance and business acumen to ensure data is accurate accessible and actionable. The analyst will work cross-functionally with business units IT and data governance teams to support BAMSI in data initiatives. Applicants must be willing to travel for this hybrid position.
Responsibilities:
Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends patterns and opportunities.
Design and build dashboards reports and visualizations using tools like Power BI and Excel.
Experience in creating Data Pipelines in MS Fabric using Dataflow gen 2 Lakehouse Warehouse.
Translate business questions into data queries and actionable insights.
Present findings to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
Assist in the development and maintenance of data governance policies procedures and standards.
Monitor data quality metrics and support data cleansing and remediation efforts.
Maintain data catalogs business glossaries and metadata repositories.
Support data classification lineage and mapping initiatives.
Ensure data handling practices comply with regulatory requirements.
Support the development and maintenance of data dictionaries glossaries and metadata repositories.
Provide training and support to stakeholders on data governance tools and best practices.
Analyze data issues and recommend solutions to improve data quality and governance.
Act as a liaison between business units and IT to align data governance efforts with business needs.---
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in information systems Data Science Business or a related field.
Should have a good understanding of HIPPA compliant and EHR data.
3 years of experience in data governance data management or data analysis.
Experience working with enterprise data systems and governance tools.
Experience with data quality tools and metadata management platforms.
Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience with cloud platforms (MS Azure Preferred)
Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance standards.
Experience with databases (e.g. Data Lake Data Warehouse) BI platforms and data governance tools (preferred Microsoft Purview and PBI RLS).
Attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
