Major Areas of Responsibility
Major areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
Safety minded in all work activities; suggest and recommend safety initiatives; commitment to safe work habits.
Reading and understanding the specifics of the job order instructions for individual customer orders.
Pulling and staging the correct materials and quantity of materials for individual customer orders.
Ensuring that work instructions are followed precisely to successfully complete the door package.
Reading pick sheets layouts and processes per individual customer orders.
Understanding and operating punch presses.
Understanding daily production goals and work at a pace that meets or exceeds those requirements.
Inspecting raw materials to ensure no pre-existing damage or scratches due to defective incoming materials prior to staging.
Constructing header and door panels from machined aluminium to the specific customer order.
Other duties as assigned by the Production Superintendent Team Lead and/or Operations Manager.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
This position requires the following essential knowledge skills and abilities to satisfactorily fulfil the position:
- Good attendance.
The ability to use basic mathematics including fractions for measuring cutting and calculating lengths and widths of materials.
Detailed oriented using fine visual and manual skills.
The ability to use basic hand tools such as screwdrivers wrenches and drills.
The ability to use punch presses.
The ability work in a fast-paced environment for an extended period of time.
The ability to read and understand layouts shop orders and process control documents.
