Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Provide career counseling career exploration and career search strategies to individual students and groups.
Develop and conduct career-related presentations using various delivery formats for academic classes student organizations and other related campus units.
Promote partnerships collaborations and positive relationships to promote the work of university career services to faculty and staff across the Georgia State University community.
Develop and maintain relationships with employers.
Mount career-related events such as career and job fairs panels and networking to connect students with employers.
Develop career services and career counseling approaches for underrepresented student populations including but not limited to students who are nontraditional veterans and returning.
Collaborate with faculty administrators and college departments to identify define and meet student career planning and career search needs including setting student success goals and objectives.
Contribute to the identification analysis and assessment of student success outcomes. Maintain accurate student records and collect data for reporting purposes while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Oversee special programs retention projects and activities as assigned.
Participate fully in the overall activities of university career services.
Performs other related duties as required.
