JOB OVERVIEW:
The Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions manages the recruitment process from the top of the admissions funnel (leads) through a new students first enrollment in their graduate program. This position carries out and assists with the primary elements of the marketing recruiting communication and the admission process for graduate programs to which the position is assigned primary responsibility.
To be successful in this role youll need the ability to work independently and be able to proactively develop recruitment plans and processes to reach new student enrollment goals for each assigned program as well as be a problem solver with excellent communication skills and impeccable attention to detail. The ability to multitask manage complex schedules and meet changing deadlines is essential to the position.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a main point of contact for prospects and applicants and assist in any facet related to Graduate Admissions (such as prospect/program information application process/management and onboarding/matriculation etc.)
Work with graduate program directors and Office of the Graduate School leadership to design and implement recruitment strategies.
Manage and track student recruitment and the graduate application process (e.g. oversee movement of applications through appropriate bins oversee matching of materials to applicants work with Slate CRM administrator regarding Slate processes and upgrades etc.).
Conduct in-person telephone and virtual appointments to provide information on university college and program admissions processes and requirements.
o Travel to local regional and national recruitment events to represent the Universitys graduate programs.
Assist with the admission decision process as needed: providing insights to program director interviewing potential candidates reviewing transcripts reviewing admission documents and making recommendations on admission decisions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal applicant will have 3-5 years of relevant experience preferably in a higher education environment.
o PREFERRED: 3-5 years of experience in recruitment/admissions with graduate healthcare programs such as nursing occupational therapy healthcare administration etc.
A bachelors degree is required with a masters being preferred.
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
Excellent writing and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with aptitude to learn new software and systems.
