Job Description

ABA Paraprofessional - ElementaryMemorial ElementaryDescription of work: To work closely with student (s) under the direction of a teacher in an effort to facilitate the progress of the student in meeting the goals stated and to provide other instructional and support assistance as required by the :- Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning.- Inform the teacher of any problems or special information about students.- Participate in in-service training programs as assigned.- Work with students in independent study skills work and remedial work assigned by the teacher.- Other related duties may be assigned- Experience working with students with special needs preferred- Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed- Assist in gathering data on students- Discrete trial implementation and data collection- Safety care training which will be provided by WSPSQualifications:*Associates Degree or 48 college credits attained or WorkKeys completed*Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed*Experience working with students with autism*Background in ABA*Such alternatives found to be appropriateSalary: Commensurate with the West Springfield Paraprofessional (Unit D) contract (Hourly Pay Range: $17.67/hour - $22.96/hour)
