Position Description:
CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for an UI/UX Designer/Engineer within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities.
You will be responsible for designing and developing user interfaces and user experiences for digital products ensuring they are both visually appealing and easy to use. In essence your responsibilities will include creating wireframes prototypes and visual designs conducting user research and collaborating with developers to implement the designs.

This position is located in our USA DC Washington however a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
User Research and Analysis: Understanding user needs behaviors and preferences through various research methods.
UI Design: Creating visual elements like layouts color schemes typography and interactive elements.
UX Design: Developing the overall structure and flow of the user experience ensuring its intuitive and enjoyable.
Prototyping: Building interactive mockups and prototypes to test and refine design concepts.
Collaboration: Working closely with product managers engineers and other stakeholders throughout the design and development process.
Technical Implementation: Implementing designs using code potentially including front-end development and design system integration.
Usability Testing: Conducting tests to evaluate the usability and effectiveness of designs.
Iteration and Optimization: Refining designs based on user feedback and data analysis.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Senior Level - 8 years direct experience
Mid-Level - 6 years direct experience
Education: In addition shall possess a degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Security Clearance: US Citizen and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI poly
Required: Adobe Creative Suite demonstrated UI/UX design expertise Microsoft Office Suite proficient oral and written communication skills.
Highly Desired: HTML 5 CSS / SCSS JavaScript with Typescript JSON
UI/UX Best Practices: Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in design tools like Figma Sketch Adobe XD etc.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $102900.00 - $222960.00
