Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled C Developer to design and develop C components for extracting data from a DB2 mainframe database and converting it into XML format for downstream processing. This role requires extensive experience in C SQL XML/XSLT and working within a mainframe environment. The developer will be responsible for full lifecycle development including unit testing integration documentation and supporting production issues.

Primary Duties:

  • Develop C components to interact with DB2 on mainframe systems.
  • Convert extracted data into XML format.
  • Perform unit testing and integration testing.
  • Maintain and debug code during IBM testing customer testing and production.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation for code and design.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • C development: 8 years
  • SQL development: 8 years
  • XML XSLT: 7 years
  • DB2 development (Mainframe): 5 years
  • Mainframe environment experience (as a user): 4 years
  • Microsoft Visual Studio: 4 years
  • Rational ClearCase / ClearQuest: 4 years

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with COBOL
  • Experience with Java / JEE development
  • Experience with DB2 Administration
