Job Description
GLISS Staffing is seeking a skilled and dependable Periodics Worker. In this role you will provide high-quality periodic services including floor and window care in accordance with custodial contracts. You will also serve as a relief worker within the division covering for supervisors or other personnel as needed. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently with minimal supervision ensuring all tasks are performed safely and meet the customers quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Periodics Service: Provide specialized floor care window care and other periodic custodial services according to customer contracts and specifications.
- Relief Coverage: Offer coverage for supervisors or employees within the custodial division during their absence ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Additional Requests: Respond to additional or special service requests as needed maintaining flexibility to meet client needs.
- Safety & Quality: Perform all tasks safely meeting or exceeding established quality standards.
- Independent Work: Work independently with minimal supervision making decisions to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push/pull/lift/carry up to 150 pounds throughout the workday.
- Capable of bending twisting stooping and reaching overhead as needed.
- Good hand-to-eye coordination is essential for operating floor care equipment such as buffers and waxers.
Qualifications:
- Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
- Proof of current vehicle insurance.
- Experience working with custodial supplies and chemicals.
- Ability to operate floor care equipment like buffers and waxers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work safely and independently with minimal supervision.
