About Your Opportunity
As the Program Planning Lead youll be at the heart of a transformative infrastructure program across South East Queensland. From dam upgrades to treatment plant enhancements and pipeline expansions youll guide a team of schedulers and planners to ensure every project milestone is met with precision and purpose.
Youll collaborate closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders shaping project schedules reviewing contractor baselines and progress reports and identifying critical workstreams constructability challenges and key interfaces. With major projects ranging from$250 million to $2 billion your insights will be pivotal in driving performance resolving risks and ensuring accurate forecasting.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team in capability building activities focused on project schedules and planning ensuring enhancement of skills and processes across the organisation.
- Collaborate with Program Managers to understand program objectives priorities and manage and optimise program activities to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Work with the Portfolio Office to develop implement and promote the organisations scheduling standard across the Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery program.
- Provide expert advice to the Principal Program Controls Program and Project Directors and Managers and the Leadership Team on project schedules and the integrated master schedule.
- Assist with the development monitoring controlling and reporting of project schedules through the various project stages in the project lifecycle highlighting emerging issues and providing input into strategies to mitigate project and program risks.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Bachelors degree in project management engineer or construction management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 10 years project scheduling experience within a major project environment preferably in a senior or lead role
- Proven experience and skills in developing schedules and advanced skills in using Primavera P6.
This position is initially offered as a fixed term contract until July 2027
