A leading provider of mechanical contracting services specializing in commercial plumbing systems for new construction and renovation projects is seeking a Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join its corporate team in Lititz PA.
This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for commercial plumbing projects ensuring high standards of cost efficiency and technical precision. The Commercial Plumbing Estimator will analyze blueprints specifications and proposals to develop cost estimates that align with project requirements and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate MEP systems for commercial new construction and renovation projects in alignment with business objectives.
- Develop cost-effective conceptual plumbing designs for design/build projects ensuring compliance with client expectations and budget constraints.
- Create initial sketches and collaborate with CAD operators for detailed drafting.
- Prepare and present written proposals clearly outlining scope pricing and specifications to clients.
- Lead negotiation efforts and maintain continuous follow-up with clients regarding submitted proposals.
- Work closely with owners general contractors architects and engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Collaborate with internal teams including other estimators to share resources such as site visits GC relationships and bid calendar updates.
Key Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in plumbing trade estimation specifically for commercial new construction projects.
- Strong ability to interpret project blueprints design drawings specifications and documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and calculations.
- Experience with estimation software including Bluebeam and Trimble Estimation is preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of general construction practices and plumbing industry regulations.
- Valid drivers license for travel to project sites or client meetings.
- Ability to provide documentation evidencing identity and employment authorization per Federal I-9 requirements.
- Knowledge of National Plumbing Codes and industry safety standards.
