If you are a passionate leader looking for an opportunity to grow Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Manufacturer of large custom-designed control valves you will work in a dynamic and high-tech production facility based in our Marshalltown Iowa location.

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Establish a safe working environment and demonstrate positive safety behaviors and attitude.
  • Responsible for assigning and coordinating work in a manufacturing department to improve efficiency and minimize cost while maintaining quality.
  • Has authority for personnel actions and supervises day-to-day operations.
  • Accurately maintain daily timecards for hourly employees production summaries overtime and audit reports.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and communicates with peers subordinates and management in a professional manner.
  • Responsible for training and cross training of employees in inspection calibration and nondestructive testing activities.
  • Maintain employee qualifications. Identify training gaps or additional qualifications.
  • Reviews production schedules material and personnel resources.
  • Participates in establishing and modifying inspection methods and processes by recommending changes in materials equipment and procedures.
  • Maintains a variety of reports records and production documentation to reflect schedules and performance.
  • Carry out inspections / audits to ensure cleanliness safety quality control and to optimize production.
Who You Are:

You balance planning with optimally communicate in various settings: one-on-one small and large groups or among diverse styles and position define issues and can map out a process. You drill down to root causes to gather relevant information.

For This Role You Will Need:
  • Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience or experience leading cross functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid digital literacy including MS Office Suite (Word Excel Access and PowerPoint) and MS Outlook.
  • Ability to empower teams to achieve business objectives by utilizing strong organizational planning and decision-making skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • A bachelors degree with 2-3 years related experience in manufacturing or quality.
  • Understand and relate accurate measurement techniques and sequences as well as solid understanding of reading and interpretation of Geometrically Dimensioned Drawings (GD&T).
  • Excellent understanding of CMM programming techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills: including being disciplined outspoken and having a high energy level to meet safety and production performance goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities by utilizing strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
