JOB INSIGHT:
We are seeking a highly motivated litigation attorney with strong experience in Personal Injury and Workers Compensation to join our Ontario office. The ideal candidate will manage a caseload conduct legal research negotiate settlements and represent clients in hearings and trials. This role offers hands-on involvement in all stages of litigation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Case Management: Handle full-cycle personal injury and workers compensation cases-from intake through judgment/trial.
- Client Advocacy: Conduct initial client interviews evaluate claims provide legal advice and maintain open and empathetic communication.
- Legal Research & Drafting: Prepare pleadings motions discovery responses settlement proposals and other legal documents.
- Strategic Negotiations: Negotiate with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel to secure fair settlements.
- Court Representation: Appear before California Workers Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) Civil Courts and Administrative Agencies.
- Evidence Coordination: Work with medical professionals accident reconstructionists vocational experts and other relevant parties.
- Ethical Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to California Rules of Professional Conduct and state codes relevant to personal injury and workers comp.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with paralegals legal assistants and support staff to build strong legal strategies.
- Business Development: Foster client relationships and participate in local business and community networking activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3 5 years of litigation experience specifically in personal injury and/or workers compensation.
- Proven track record handling cases involving vehicle accidents workplace injuries slip & falls disability claims etc.
- Strong courtroom presence and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage caseloads and prioritize deadlines efficiently.
