Job Description
Job Title: RN Manager - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Location: Richmond VA
Schedule: 5x8 Hour Day Shift (No Weekends)
Salary Range: $90000 - $125000 (Based on experience)
Relocation & Sign-on Bonus: Case-by-case basis
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced RN Manager for the NICU to lead clinical operations and staff in providing high-quality patient-centered care. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing unit functionality ensuring adherence to nursing standards improving patient outcomes and driving a culture of accountability and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Oversight & Staff Management
- Manage the daily operations of the NICU including admissions discharges and throughput
- Ensure staff are properly trained credentialed and assigned based on patient needs
- Monitor compliance with hospital policies and nursing standards of care
Patient Care & Experience
- Promote evidence-based practices to drive quality and safety
- Lead efforts to ensure superior patient satisfaction and experience
- Address patient/family needs and feedback to improve services
Performance & Regulatory Compliance
- Monitor clinical performance and support efforts to reduce care variation
- Ensure readiness for internal/external audits accreditations and benchmarks
- Manage equipment maintenance and regulatory standards compliance
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
- Coordinate care across departments to support continuity and patient outcomes
- Partner with the Director of NICU and other leadership on departmental goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing - Required
- Current RN License (Virginia)
- 3-5 years of NICU leadership experience in an acute care hospital - Required
