ROLE SUMMARY

The Manager Portfolio and Operations is part of the team which supports the operational and project budgets for the Digital Colleague Enablement & Seagen Integration (DCESI) Digital organization.
The DCESI organization simplifies the digital workplace so you can focus on outcomes that matter. The core delivery and service areas in DCESI include Digital PX & Enabling Functions creation center Digital Finance & Business Innovation creation center Colleague Services & Adoption and Colleague Solutions.
This position reports to the Sr. Director Portfolio & Operations. The Manager Portfolio & Operations is responsible for verifying that DCESIs financial commitments are consistent with corporate financial procedures and ensuring cost management records of budgets forecasts and expenditures are maintained for one or more DCESI groups. The Manager will be an individual contributor with matrixed responsibility to coordinate the work with and across the team members.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with Sr Director Portfolio & Operations to provide guidance to the DCESI financial owners to ensure accurate execution of month end financial activities including forecasting budgeting monthly reporting and variance commentary for OpEx restructuring and Capital projects.
Review DCESI project business cases to ensure accuracy and completeness enter CPAs and update P3 accordingly.
Use finance and business knowledge to analyze the financial performance metrics of their portfolios to determine trends and opportunities for improvement.
Partner with client and Digital project managers to obtain and evaluate relevant project expenditures against budget forecast and provide insight to help deliver the required financial outcome for the overall portfolio.
Lead and own the annual budgeting cycle to ensure accuracy and efficiency of the budget submission to finance.
Serve as the financial expert for their portfolio and be able to speak clearly and succinctly to the performance of the portfolio and generate up-to-date financial information (active projects costs general timelines etc) is available upon request.
Work closely with financial owners to help identify areas of opportunity for Digital budget savings.
Identify and implement process improvement.
Provide leadership to ensure team processes are efficient and drive accuracy and consistency across the team and have uniformed communication format.
Complete ad-hoc analyses.
Educate DCESI team members on financial policies and best practices.
Mentor junior Portfolio & Operations team members.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree with four years of relevant experience; OR Masters degree with two years of relevant experience; OR Associates degree with eight years of relevant financial management experience; OR Ph.D. with 0 years of experience; OR 10 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent
Fluent in using and manipulating spreadsheets & financial modelling (comfort with data manipulation and financial systems) and effective use of other Microsoft Office products (e.g. PowerPoint Word)
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Can make decisions to resolve moderately complex problems in standard situations
Excellent analytical skills attention to detail and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Ability to work in fast paced environment across multiple activities simultaneously
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA or CPA certification
Deep understanding of Pfizers domestic and international financial processes
Experience with SAP Ariba PowerBI Copilot tools
Continuous improvement experience
Quickly learns new skills and tools

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $96300.00 to $160500.00.* In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
