As a Sales Specialist/BDR in the Fintech/Banking space you will be responsible for working with sales colleagues and other internal stakeholders to drive the sales process for Moodys KYC (Know Your Customer) and Data products and services. Key activities include identifying and qualifying prospects initiating new sales activity and managing sales cycles to closure. Additionally the role requires the assessment of client needs and providing clients with strategic guidance andproduct overviews.

  • Build and execute on sales strategies to meet or exceed annual sales goals and targets that align with the companys vision and objectives.
  • Provide current forecasts and pipeline information to management.
  • Lead the development of business within assigned territories. This role is heavily focused on having a hunter mentality.
  • Partner with Solution Specialists to develop clear concise proposals and deliver targeted prospect/client demos that address business needs.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Product Strategy to promote improvement in product quality and the development of new sources of revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by identifying gaps gaining an understanding of the specific issues facing the client based on their business requirements and recommending solutions leveraging market and technical
  • knowledge.
  • Act as the market expert and provide product/service use cases during the sales cycle.
  • Coordinate Moodys Analytics responses to requests for product and services information from prospects and clients.
  • Represent the company at industry and company-sponsored events as required.
  • Serve as functional and market expert to resolve client issues through the use of interpersonal skills. Assist in the
  • preparation and circulation of market insight to create awareness of Moodys expertise internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with and assist in the training of new team members.
  • Position requires travel for face-to-face client meetings (approximately 65% to 70% of your time)

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g. bachelors degree) required with coursework in business economics finance marketing or related fields.
  • Knowledge of KYC/Third Party Risk and Compliance business intelligence data /the global data market and/or understanding of how organizations use data within business functions such as Master Data Sales/Marketing Supply Chain and Credit
  • Demonstrated success of building relationships with senior level decision makes and selling into large complex organizations utilizing a sales methodology (MEDDPICC Challenger etc.)
  • Results-oriented self-starter who can effectively interact across multiple role levels both internally and externally
  • Creative problem-solving skills and an ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and proven time management to manage multiple sales-cycles and meet timelines
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment with focus and high attention to detail.
  • 7 years experience working in direct business-to-business sales roles leading sales cycles to successful conclusions through the use of consultative selling techniques. Focus on serving financial institutions corporations government or professional services with a proven track record of success

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is$112000.00-$162400.00 depending on factors such as experience education level skills and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
