JOB OVERVIEW:
The Maintenance Supervisor will ensure that the facilities of Field Manteno and Kankakee are equipped to efficiently meet the needs of all warehousing by planning coordination and managing of a Preventive Maintenance Program. They will manage facility upkeep including but not limited to areas such structural integrity of facility structural integrity of warehousing equipment and structural integrity of Facilities equipment. They will coordinate with the warehousing group and site personnel to ensure that all equipment is in proper working condition to efficiently meet the needs of all internal and external customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the development implementation and day to day supervision of maintenance systems processes and documentation
Responsible for contacting equipment providers if internal maintenance employees are unable to fix such equipment and ensuring repairs are completed properly.
Provides long term solutions and day-to-day support to all operating teams having issues with troubleshooting problem analysis equipment failures etc.
Facilitate the evolution/refinement of maintenance activities of all warehouse and mobile equipment to minimize downtime (PMs KPis etc.).
Maintain facility and mobile equipment and systems decreasing unplanned downtime and growing reliability and availability.
Assist with maintenance activities tied to the facility including but not limited to ensuring the facilitys safety and environmental work is current and compliant.
Collaborate with all functions (Engineering Production Quality Safety etc.) and suppliers contractors etc. as well as plant partners to ensure customer needs are met.
Maintain SOPs to keep the facility ready for customer inspections and well as governmental inspections
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
Provide guidance training and coaching to maintenance and refrigeration team members.
Monitor personnel matters including work schedules vacations reviews and discipline.

JOB EXPERIENCE:
2-4 years of maintenance experience
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Previous experience with facility maintenance and warehousing equipment (racking mobile equipment HVAC etc.)
Demonstrated ability to organize and supervise
Strong mechanical and planning aptitude
Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems or ability to receive training regarding such systems
Ability to articulate and understand the requirements necessary to maintain assets at base condition and importance to comply with conditions of use
Knowledge of food manufacturing FDA/USDA OSHA and EPA regulations
Continuous improvement mind-set with the ability to support multiple projects
Strong decision-making skills with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems
Excellent skills in the areas of teamwork motivation relationship building and coaching
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to organize manage multiple priorities and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Experience with ERP/WMS/CMMS
Basic Computer skills
EDUCATION:
Associates/Bachelors degree program certificate or equivalent work experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to work in a dusty cold hot humid wet loud heights or outdoor work environment depending on the assigned work area.
Primarily works in a facility environment with minimal administrative duties.
