As the Rebates Analyst you will be responsible for managing and optimising supplier rebate processes by analysing purchase data ensuring compliance with trading agreements and collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to accurately track claim and reconcile rebates. It also supports financial reporting and month-end processes maintains key rebate databases and investigates and resolves any related discrepancies.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Requesting collating and analysing supplier purchase data to prepare and raise accurate monthly rebate claims.
- Reviewing trading agreements to ensure rebate accruals are correctly tracked and claims are raised in line with contractual terms.
- Working closely with the Buying/Merchandising team to ensure rebate terms are clearly understood and accurately reflected in the rebate system.
- Liaising with Buying/Merchandising teams and suppliers to resolve aging claims and ensure timely clearing of rebates.
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations and contract rebate reconciliations.
- Supporting month-end processes including general ledger reconciliations.
- Maintaining and updating working spreadsheets including a master database containing key rebate information across product lines.
- Responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders regarding rebate-related matters.
- Assisting in managing third-party rebate programs (e.g. Narta) including reconciliation of bank deposits.
- Supporting internal profitability reporting by tracking and managing ad-hoc funding arrangements outside of standard rebate contracts.
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong experience in complex formulas; (Familiarity with macros automation and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is preferred).
- Experience working with a large ERP system (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)).
- Accounting qualification.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with high volume data.
