  • Full time Fixed term (up to 5 years)
  • Senior remuneration package starting from $206852 (including superannuation)
  • Albury Wodonga Bathurst or Wagga Wagga campus

Charles Sturt University is seeking a dynamic collaborative and action-oriented academic leader to take on the role of Head of School Social Work and Arts. As part of the Faculty of Arts and Education you will lead a school that is home to two distinct disciplines; Social Work and Human Services and the Arts with a substantial number of accredited programs and a significant regional footprint.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Teaching and learning strategy and quality
  • Academic staffing and workforce planning
  • Setting the Schools Research agenda
  • Staff engagement performance and development
  • Course portfolio management and future development
  • School budgeting and operational management
  • Stakeholder engagement including accrediting bodies and external partners.

About you

Were looking for a proven leader who brings:

  • A PhD in a relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated leadership in a complex academic environment including experience managing people programs and budgets.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to engage and motivate others.
  • A commitment to inclusive student-centered education
  • A capacity to lead change
  • Strategic insight into the future of social work and arts education in a regional context
