Job Description
Company: Mainline Printing Inc.
Job Title: Local Truck Driver
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Job Classification: Non-Exempt Full-Time
Reporting Relationship: Production Manager/Fleet Manager
Primary Accountabilities:
The Local Truck Driver is a 40 hour per week position with daily routes in the Kansas City Metro area.
Major Duties:
- Assists in loading and unloading trailer.
- Performs vehicle and cargo inspection.
- Follows safety rules and procedures at all times.
- Maintains vehicle in a safe and clean condition.
Required Qualifications:
- Unexpired CDL Class A drivers license.
- Up to date medical card.
- No more than 2 convictions in the past 2 years period for moving traffic violations.
- Commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to effectively work with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and to make reliable and prompt decisions using available information.
- Demonstrate good work habits maintain a professional appearance and attitude and follow policies and procedures.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to read computer screens and email mail and talk on the phone.
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
Work Environment:
- Interaction with external and internal customers including disgruntled customers.
