Job Summary
The University of Utahs Stadium and Arena Event Services ( SAES ) division has an immediate opening for an experienced Event Manager. The Event Manager serves as the primary planning contact for clients hosting educational corporate social and athletic or entertainment events at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Event attendance may range from 10 to 45000 and the Event Manager is responsible for effectively communicating program details to operational teams appropriate University departments and involved third parties. Applicants are required to work a varying schedule including nights weekends and holidays and must be able to work outdoors under varying temperatures and weather conditions.
Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a related field* or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required. *A related field may include one or more of the following: Business Communications Hotel Management/Hospitality or Exercise/Sport Science. Demonstrated computer skills including proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet programs preferred.
