Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development efforts for financial applications involving complex business processes.
- Analyze existing business functions to identify efficiency and improvement opportunities.
- Support process redesign system development and testing in collaboration with business and technical teams.
- Provide hands-on coding and technical support across the SDLCfrom development through to production.
- Act as a mentor and technical guide to peers and junior developers.
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Utilize troubleshooting tools and techniques to identify and resolve issues.
- Drive standardization of processes documentation and methodologies across development teams.
- Stay updated on industry trends and apply best practices in software development.
- Minimum of 7 years experience as a Lead Developer or Development Manager.
- 5 years of experience with enterprise development technologies such as:
- COBOL
- CA Gen
- Classic ASP (VBScript JScript)
- DB2 for z/OS or Oracle (or similar relational databases)
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases (DB2 for z/OS Oracle).
- Proficiency in CA Gen (workstation toolset web server online/batch procedures Com Proxy services).
- Experience with IBM Z-Server technologies including CICS JCL and COBOL.
- Classic ASP web development using VBScript and JScript.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience supporting and maintaining complex financial systems.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
