Axiom Staffing is currently seeking a 2nd shift Forklift Team Lead for a client in Hanover PA.
- Must have leadership experience and basic computer knowledge.
- Forklift exp. is required.
M-F 3p-11:30p
Position Summary:
The Forklift Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of forklift operators to ensure efficient and safe movement of materials within the warehouse or distribution center. This role combines hands-on operation of forklifts with leadership duties including training scheduling and quality control to ensure timely loading unloading staging and storing of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a team of forklift operators on shift.
Coordinate daily tasks to meet shipping receiving and inventory goals.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
Ensure all forklift operators adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
Conduct training for new operators and refresher courses for existing staff.
Monitor equipment performance and ensure regular maintenance is performed.
Inspect loads to ensure proper packaging and secure placement.
Work closely with warehouse supervisors and logistics coordinators to prioritize workload.
Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and equipment usage use of computers.
Identify and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
Enforce compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Provide input on team performance for evaluations and disciplinary actions.
