Job Summary
To ensure the continuous care maintenance and repair of associates uniforms and guest garments.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of related areas.
- Ensure that if a guest requests any garment alternations and repair this should become a priority.
- Ensure all alterations and repair of all uniforms and linen on a daily basis.
- Ensure all uniforms are maintained and presentable at all times.
- Sort Dirty Uniforms; Uniform Inventory; Pressing of Uniforms and guest laundry
- Ensure Uniform Room Policy & Procedures are followed as implemented by the Hotel
- Ensure all discarded uniforms are recorded and logged.
- Assist with the Ordering of new uniforms; Ensure all new staff are issued and well fitted in Hotel Informs
- Assist and ensure that all uniform / laundry operations are carried out and maintained to high standards at all times.
- To be fully converse with Hotel X Toronto policies procedures and operational standards.
- Responsible for the care and maintenance of your equipment during each shift. Any defaults must be reported to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager.
- Assist in the preparation of staff uniforms.
- Assist with the distribution of uniforms to associates.
- Assist with control guest and staff dry cleaning items.
- Answer telephone and communicate effectively between housekeeping Assistant Housekeeping Managers and all other areas.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-year sewing experience in a Hotel or related industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of guests employees and management.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift weight up to 70 pounds.
