Job Description
Job Title: General Cardiologist Senior Physician
Location: Southfield MI

EPIC Health is actively seeking a Board-Certified General Cardiologist to help develop a best-in-class department as we expand our cardiovascular service line across the region. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic multispecialty medical group focused on offering a full spectrum of cardiac care including:
- Diagnostic testing
- Cardiac catheterizations
- Pacemaker implantation
- Cardiac rehabilitation
Youll join a team of experienced professionals committed to building a program that prioritizes quality innovation and access to care.
Key Responsibilities
- Help shape and expand a department offering comprehensive cardiovascular services.
- Evaluate and treat patients with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic skills.
- Coordinate patient discharges in collaboration with case management teams.
- Accept referrals from other providers and act as admitting attending or consulting physician based on patient needs.
- Provide overreads for cardiovascular imaging studies (e.g. ECGs echocardiograms stress tests nuclear cardiology).
- Participate in both inpatient and outpatient consultations as well as call schedules.
- Engage in academic programs including medical education and research initiatives as needed.
- Document care and services thoroughly to meet payer requirements and proactively manage insurance denials and appeals.
- Participate in efforts to improve care quality reduce costs and enhance operational efficiency.
Weekend Rounding
- Weekends: Rounding only until 12 PM ensuring optimal work-life balance.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Cardiology
- Active or eligible for a Michigan state medical license
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency and cardiology fellowship
- 20 years of post-training experience in general cardiology
- Ability to interpret and provide overreads for a wide range of cardiovascular imaging
