Job Description: Regional Sales Manager (Construction Equipment)
Position: Regional Sales Manager (RSM)
Industry: Construction Equipment (Material Handling and Road Construction Equipments such as Wheel Loader Skid Steer Loader Soil and Tandem Compactor PTR etc).
Location: Region South/North/East/West/Central.
Job Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for leading and managing sales activities within a designated region to drive revenue growth expand market share and ensure customer satisfaction. The RSM oversees a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs) dealer networks and direct sales efforts to achieve business objectives. This role requires a strategic approach to sales customer relationship management and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and drive market penetration for construction equipment.
- Maintain and grow relationships with key customers contractors rental companies and distributors.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to stay ahead in the market.
- Team Leadership & Dealer Management:
- Lead mentor and manage a team of Area Sales Managers and Sales Executives.
- Set sales targets monitor performance and provide necessary support to achieve goals.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with dealers and distributors to enhance sales performance.
- Conduct regular training and coaching sessions for the sales team and dealer partners.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Engage with key decision-makers in construction companies contractors and rental businesses.
- Ensure excellent customer service and address escalated customer issues effectively.
- Organize product demonstrations technical discussions and promotional events to boost sales.
- Strategic Planning & Market Expansion:
- Analyze regional sales data market conditions and customer insights to make informed decisions.
- Develop and implement business plans for market expansion and customer acquisition.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to execute regional promotional campaigns and trade shows.
- Coordination & Compliance:
- Work closely with internal teams such as marketing finance product support and after-sales service.
- Ensure adherence to company pricing policies credit guidelines and sales procedures.
- Prepare and present detailed sales reports forecasts and performance analysis to senior management.
Key Requirements:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor Of Engineering.
- 10 years of experience in sales with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role within the construction equipment industry.
- Strong track record in managing sales teams and achieving regional targets.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Deep knowledge of construction equipment market dynamics and competitor landscape.
- Strong leadership people management and team-building skills.
- Excellent negotiation communication and strategic planning abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software MS Office and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and drive results.
- Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
