AS is seeking a Commissioning Specialist to join the Commissioning and Sustainability Services (CSS) team in our Pittsburgh PA office. CSS team members enjoy a mix of office and jobsite activities and are exposed to a wide array of projects. The successful applicant is not required to know everything about commissioning but will need to be coachable and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the following tasks:
  • Commissioning System Administration.
  • Commissioning Checklist Creation based on Design Drawings.
  • Witnessing onsite Functional Testing of various equipment.
  • Document Management.
  • Review of project design drawings and project specifications.
  • Proposal writing and opportunity research.
  • Building energy modeling software and/or energy audits.


Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in mechanical electrical or similar Engineering Degree.
  • Position appropriate for entry-level through 2 years experience.
  • HVAC Plumbing and/or Electrical controls experience preferred.
  • Building Energy Modeling Professional certification preferred (BEMP).
  • Energy Manager certification preferred (CEM or EMP).
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Ability to climb a step ladder work on uneven terrain and otherwise safely operate on a construction site.
    (Safety shoes required once hired.)
