POSITION TITLE: Assistant Baseball Coach/Dorm Director
START DATE: Open Until Filled
CAMPUS/DEPARTMENT: Ranger College/Athletics
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Assist Head Coach with all aspects of coaching and help to manage the Ranger College Baseball Program. Help recruit an assigned number of student athletes. Participate in academic advising and registration. Assist with divisional duties including but not limited to program planning budgeting scheduling and facility maintenance. Other duties as may be assigned. The Dorm Director is a vital member of the Student Services team responsible for supporting and enhancing the residential experience for housing residents. This role ensures safe clean and welcoming living environments while promoting student engagement enforcing college policies and serving as a campus resource.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree required
Pitching Coach preferred; Baseball coaching experience at community college level or higher preferred
Help in recruitment of highly skilled baseball student athletes
Understand student athletes welfare
Maintain discipline and adherence to Ranger College policies and procedures
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Strong organizational skills required
Able to work in a fast-paced busy student-oriented setting
Self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure
Able to initiate and complete tasks within demanding time limits
ANNUAL SALARY/BENEFITS: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience and credentials. Group health and life insurance (60 day waiting period for health) and retirement benefits (TRS or ORP). Optional benefits include disability and dental insurance.
