The Opportunity

Our Lysaght business is looking for a Customer Experience Specialist to join the Customer Service Team based in Canberra. Made in Australia since 1921 Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes to large commercial and industrial projects.

Being the face of BlueScope you will ensure all our customers receive exceptional service. Youll be joining a supportive fast paced customer focused team renowned for their high performance.  

This is a Monday to Friday position offering flexibility for work/life balance access to our Employee Assistance Program and ongoing training and development opportunities. 

What Will You Do

This role will offer variety and scope for an enthusiastic team player who enjoys the full spectrum of a busy workplace. You will take ownership of the end-to-end order management process while building and nurturing strong relationships with key customers ensuring their needs are met with efficiency accuracy and a high level of service.  In addition to general sales and customer service duties youll be responsible for the following:

  • interacting with our customers face to face as well as managing online quotes and customer queries
  • following up on quotations and inquiries converting these into sales opportunities
  • collaborating with internal stakeholders including marketing warehouse and sales departments to ensure customer expectations and requirements are met - including product specifications special packaging and delivery timetable
  • continuously look at new ways of improving the customer experience

More About You

As an experienced customer service professional with exposure to managing client accounts you will bring:

  • strong commitment to providing and fostering an exceptional customer experience
  • superior attention to detail with the ability to resolve issues and identify solutions
  • intermediate to advanced skills of MS Office including MS Excel
  • excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • a passion for sales building design and/or architecture
  • a team player who thrives in a collaborative energetic and enthusiastic environment
