Were seeking someone with:
3 years experience in a financial accounting or business services role.
Strong understanding of core accounting principles GST and financial reporting.
Degree-qualified in Accounting or a related discipline; CA/CPA preferred but not essential.
Strong Excel skills; experience using cloud-based ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite) is a plus.
High attention to detail with the ability to meet regular reporting deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience working across multi-site multi-entity or service-based environments is desirable.
A proactive collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in helping improve business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver timely accurate monthly financial reports for a designated portfolio of business units.
Act as the key point of contact for day-to-day financial queries ensuring clear communication and reliable support.
Prepare and lodge BAS and other periodic tax submissions.
Review financial performance and provide value-adding commentary to relevant stakeholders.
Work with other departments (operations IT legal etc.) to support the smooth delivery of finance services.
Supervise the workflow of one or two assistant accountants (based locally or remotely) ensuring output meets required standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement of finance systems and processes including reporting tools and automation.
Assist with internal training and system onboarding for new business units or team members.
