The Role:
Were looking for a detail-driven and commercially mindedJunior Finance Business Partnerto join a collaborative finance team supporting a large network of sites across Australia.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional ready to step into a more dynamic business-facing role. Youll take ownership of a diverse portfolio deliver high-quality financial insights and work closely with a range of internal stakeholders across departments.
Were seeking someone with:
- 3 years experience in a financial accounting or business services role.
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles GST and financial reporting.
- Degree-qualified in Accounting or a related discipline; CA/CPA preferred but not essential.
- Strong Excel skills; experience using cloud-based ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite) is a plus.
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet regular reporting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience working across multi-site multi-entity or service-based environments is desirable.
- A proactive collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in helping improve business performance.
- Prepare and deliver timely accurate monthly financial reports for a designated portfolio of business units.
- Act as the key point of contact for day-to-day financial queries ensuring clear communication and reliable support.
- Prepare and lodge BAS and other periodic tax submissions.
- Review financial performance and provide value-adding commentary to relevant stakeholders.
- Work with other departments (operations IT legal etc.) to support the smooth delivery of finance services.
- Supervise the workflow of one or two assistant accountants (based locally or remotely) ensuring output meets required standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of finance systems and processes including reporting tools and automation.
- Assist with internal training and system onboarding for new business units or team members.
