Role Overview

Are you the kind of person who cant leave a coffee line without striking up a conversation Do you believe that Jewish life on campus should be as diverse vibrant and welcoming as the students it serves Join us as an Engagement Associate and help shape a dynamic inclusive Jewish campus experience. You will network with students to develop one-on-one relationships and help them explore their Judaism where they live work play and study! We are looking for someone who will drive UA Hillel forward by creating strategic initiatives to inspire students to get involved explore their Jewish identities celebrate community connect with Israel and build meaningful relationships.

What Youll Do

• Cultivate one-on-one relationships with Jewish students from diverse backgrounds.
• Meet with students to engage them identify their interests and connect to opportunities that inspire their Jewish identity.
• Develop and implement opportunities to expand Hillels reach and visibility on campus through programs partnerships relationship building interfaith initiatives sponsorships and campus-wide initiatives
• Supervise mentor and empower student leaders and volunteers to take ownership of Jewish programming and outreach.
• Assist with the planning and implementation of weekly Shabbat experiences holiday celebrations social events and learning cohorts.
• Assist with initiatives such as Greek Life outreach Birthright Israel recruitment and follow-up fellowship programs and cohort-based Jewish learning.
• Assist with marketing communications and social media strategy to effectively tell the story of Jewish life on campus.
• Track engagement data and use metrics to inform program development and outreach efforts.
• Support prospective students and families at tours open houses and orientation events.

What Youve Accomplished

• 0-2 years of experience in Jewish life student affairs education community organizing or a closely related field.
• A bachelors degree is required

• Comfort mentoring students leading programs and pitching in wherever neededfrom brainstorming to setting up Shabbat dinner.

  • Inspiring and mentoring Jewish students.
  • Building community.
  • Balancing multiple projects and managing time effectively.
