As a Facilities Service Technician you will work both independently and as a team member focusing on the health and safety of Fronius USA facilities. This position is responsible for inspecting identifying and maintaining equipment and building repairs. The Facilities Service Technician also handles basic maintenance and repairs of the facility including interior exterior and vital systems such as HVAC plumbing electrical process cooling and compressed air.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provides support in matters pertaining to facility maintenance and protection
- Takes accountability for facility support operations as applied to the physical plant maintenance and physical plant protection
- Oversees the facility infrastructure and property security requirements which includes identifying safety and security issues
- Preforms repairs and maintenance within the facility and premises
- Identifies facility maintenance and cleaning service requirements and reports findings to supervisor
- Supports company sponsored projects provides information and communicates the needs of such projects
- Complies with laws regulations and standards pertaining to safety and protective measures
- Participates in training and professional development
- Attends meetings with vendors and management
- Assists on site vendors and contractors with facility needs
- Helps with Fronius event setups
- Supports fleet vehicle maintenance needs
- Acts as primary contact for facility needs
- Conducts general maintenance inside and outside of the facility which includes but are not limited to; shopfloor floor cleaning coffee machine maintenance equipment setup and installation (desk setups installation of dry erase board etc.)
- Troubleshoots various mechanical and electrical problems for appliances electrical lines switches controls sensors and related equipment using a variety of materials tools supplies and equipment
- Maintains internal and external facility lighting fixtures including replacement of ballast light bulbs and fluorescent tubes
- Performs inventory control of maintenance equipment and supplies
- Assists in purchasing of equipment and supplies
- Prepares and maintains a variety of written records and reports; reads and interprets plans specifications blueprints and schematics
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager
Requirements
- Possess a valid Passport or has the ability to obtain and pay for a valid Passport
- Limited Travel
- Experience and training in technical structural equipment electrical and/or mechanical installation
- Valid Drivers License
- Forklift Operator Certification and Basic Training in Industrial Injury Prevention
- Practical experience in maintenance and servicing of manufacturing facilities
- Minimum experience of 1 to 3 years in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance
- Thorough understanding of building structures and technology
- Maintain a broad working knowledge of materials systems and code requirements related to facility maintenance
- Expert knowledge in building mechanical systems including HVAC process cooling fire suppression and compressed air or building electrical systems
- Have a good understanding/working knowledge of building mechanical systems including HVAC process cooling fire suppression and compressed air or building electrical systems
- Operate a variety of maintenance tools and equipment related to area of assignment.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and diagrams
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD

- Vision 20/20 with or without correction
- Physical demands of the job include: standing use of hands to manipulate objects talking hearing looking typing walking twisting and bending

- Employees could be required to lift up to 50 pounds
- Employees will perform duties in an office environment and a field setting
- Employees will be occasionally exposed to tripping hazards
- The noise level in the work environment is usually low to medium
