Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate to join our Financial Services & Fintech team in our Sydney office. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting edge matters involving blockchain technology digital assets and emerging technologies. You will play a pivotal role in advising clients on complex legal issues managing high stakes disputes and contributing to the growth of our practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal advice on financial services regulation AML/CTF sanctions and privacy with a focus on fintech and blockchain related matters.
- Manage complex client projects involving market entry licensing disclosure and design and distribution obligations and disputes.
- Proactively develop and manage client relationships including assistance in scoping matters agreeing fee estimates and risk management.
- Develop internal networks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and thought leadership in the fintech and blockchain space.
- Mentor and supervise junior lawyers fostering their professional growth.
About You
- Admitted as a Solicitor in Australia with a minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial services law fintech and blockchain technology (in house or private practice).
- Proven experience in managing complex projects investigations and disputes.
- Strong analytical communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
