Job Description

APRA AMCOS is a member-owned music rights management organisation positioned at the intersection of music data and technology. We have more than 124000 members who are songwriters composers and music publishers. We license organisations to play perform copy or record our members music and we distribute the royalties to our members.


To operate as part of the APRA AMCOS Administration team and to provide support primarily to the Sydney office to create a warm inviting and professional environment for staff and visitors. The role also assists with managing the APRA AMCOS reception including directing telephone enquiries and receiving visitors in accordance with our security policies and procedures.


The role is based in our Ultimo office which is on Gadigal land.

As a Receptionist/ Administration Assistant your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting building and office management across all sites across Australia.
  • Perform duties of receptionist and switchboard operator and front desk operation.
  • Managing the Administration team workflow via internal ticketing system.
  • Ensuring new starter receive required equipment and retrieving equipment from terminated employees and updating Bamboo HR to record this movement.
  • Assist with APRA AMCOS work health and safety responsibilities for the office working environments including but not limited to being a dedicated Fire Warden and First Aid Officer.
  • Assist with setting up in-house events and conferences.
  • Liaise with third-party service providers as required.
  • Receive and distribute incoming mail and process outgoing mail.
  • Maintain stock levels of office supplies.
  • Maintain Administration and Reception email in-box.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required by management.


To thrive in this role youll need:

  • Previous reception or customer service experience
  • Previous experience in general office administration
  • A working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
