Job Description
The purpose of the SRM 1 is to be an experienced procurement professional who is developing strategic relationship management expertise to help optimize the value of and manages the relationships between Church organizations and preferred suppliers and vendors.
Responsibilities
The SRM 1 is a seasoned and experienced procurement professional who will typically be responsible for the overall support planning and execution of the least complex commodities or supplier relationships. This person may work on more complex initiatives under the mentorship of an SRM 2 or SRM Sr.
Specific duties include the following:
- Manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure mutual value and long-term collaboration.
- Leverage enterprise expenditures to qualify negotiate select and establish legal contracts with the best possible vendors offering the best value for the Church.
- Monitor and ensure performance compliance of contracted vendors.
- Create and track orders providing timely updates to stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategies to maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
- Accurately understand and document customer requirements.
- Design solutions that meet both product and service needs while maximizing value.
- Stay current on industry trends and maintain active engagement with industry experts.
- Maintain awareness of supplier capabilities and innovations relevant to assigned categories.
- Apply digital solutions to enhance service levels for internal partners.
- Utilize tools and technologies to generate regular reports and insights for stakeholders.
- Use Purchasing tools including eMarket PeopleSoft and AX/Dynamics 365 to accept requisitions create purchase orders expedite orders and create catalogs of frequently used goods and services.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required;
- Requires recent seasoned supply-chain knowledge and experience and experience in supplier relationship management strategic sourcing outsourcing or purchasing.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with executives mediators directors engineers and professionals across all organizational levels.
- Well developed interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.
Up to 15% domestic and international travel for up to 2 weeks at time.
Preferred Qualifications: CPM or CPSM certification. Knowledge of PowerApps and Power BI
