Greenberg Traurig (GT) a global law firm has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a 3rd to 5th year associate in the Technology Transactions & Licensing Practice of our San Diego office. Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 35 years of experience advising clients on commercial and licensing agreements intellectual property matters and product counseling particularly in the context of cloud computing products and services software patents IT procurement supply chain semiconductor and AI/machine learning.
Required Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing.
35 years of relevant experience at a law firm or in-house legal department.
Deep knowledge of intellectual property and commercial contract law particularly as it relates to software hardware and digital assets.
Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g. CCPA GDPR) and open source license frameworks.
Strong drafting negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple client demands in a fast-paced environment.
Entrepreneurial mindset and team-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical background (e.g. CS EE bioengineering) or experience working with clients in cloud computing semiconductor hardware AI and cybersecurity sectors.
Experience with international licensing and cross-border transactions.
Exposure to IP workflows in M&A or financing transactions and post-closing integration.

The expected pay range for this position is:
$240000- $280000 per year
Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience location and other job-related factors permitted by law.
