Food Runner - Homestretch Steakhouse (Harrah's Hoosier Park)

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for overall preparation of condiments food delivery and presentation of the Steakhouse food items.

DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: None

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Set up place turn on and fill equipment with hot water or ice as necessary

• Ensure that all food is transported handled and stored in a wholesome sanitary manner.

• Maintain kitchen transport carts in a clean and sanitary manner.

• All food products (hot and cold) are kept full clean and garnished.

• Make sure stations are stocked for oncoming shift.

• Promote and maintain a team environment at all times.

• Maintain appearance standards as outlined in departmental and Company policies.

• Provide information and explain Players Club benefits property amenities & marketing programs to our guests.

• Provide courteous service to our guests and be cordial to all Team Members.

• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

• Maintain a consistent regular attendance record.

QUALIFICATIONS:

SOCIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Must have an outgoing energetic and enthusiastic attitude. Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a license from the Indiana Horse Racing Commission.
