Job Description
Are you a skilled and driven Financial Controller with strong experience in financial reporting and a passion for process improvement Were looking for someone just like you to join our team as a Financial Controller.
Is This Your Next Opportunity
In this role youll be responsible for the financial reporting of legal entities within the Telia Group. This includes both external reportingsuch as annual reportsand internal reporting to Group Finance. As a member of the Group Financial Control team you will also support various departmental responsibilities including quarterly reports and the Groups consolidated annual report.
You will be part of a skilled and dedicated team where we support each other and share knowledge. For the right person there is room to grow whether you want to deepen your expertise in group accounting or broaden your skill set towards other finance functions or business-oriented roles within the company.
The Group Financial Control team is based in Solna Sweden and you will report directly to Ulrika Beckstrand Head of Group Financial Control.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee accounting operations monthly closings and ensure accuracy of financial statements and reconciliations
- Prepare annual reports VAT returns and ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP
- Coordinate external audits and maintain internal controls with regular monitoring and testing
- Collaborate with business units and Group functions to collect financial data and support initiatives
- Identify process improvements participate in projects and conduct ad hoc financial analyses
Is this you
To be successful in this role we believe you have strong expertise in accounting and financial reporting with solid knowledge of local accounting standards and IFRS and experience using SAP or similar systems. You have minimum 5 years of professional experience in accounting and/or auditing and proven track record of independently managing process improvement initiatives.
You understand the full financial statement landscape and internal control frameworks and are fluent in English.
As a person you are organized calm under pressure and proactive in improving financial processes. With strong communication and analytical skills you collaborate effectively across teams with a solution-oriented mindset.
Key skills:
- Strong accounting and financial reporting expertise minimum 5 years of professional experience in accounting and/or auditing
- Knowledge of local accounting standards and IFRS as well as SAP or similar financial reporting systems
- Comprehensive understanding of how the income statement balance sheet and cash flow interrelate
- Strong communicator across departments and functions
- Fluent skills in written and spoken English
