Job Description
Primary Purpose
PRIMARY PURPOSE This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance and administrative duties in the care and maintenance of District facilities services buildings and grounds.

JOB DESCRIPTION Receives and delivers District and U.S. mail equipment and supplies as directed. Provides assistance to facilities maintenance and custodial personnel as required. Prepares District classrooms and facilities for special events or activities; moves furniture and sets up tables chairs and equipment as necessary. Loads and unloads warehouse truck and delivers goods to appropriate departments on campus. Performs minor repairs to buildings and equipment; disposes of obsolete or surplus equipment as directed; assembles and installs furniture and equipment as needed. Performs routine maintenance duties as assigned; picks up paper and debris. Secures facility at completion of assigned schedule; turns lights on and off; unlocks and locks doors and windows; reports sanitary and safety hazards; notifies proper authorities of suspicious persons or situations; returns items to lost and found. Maintains routine records and forms such as service and supply requests and time sheets as required. Learns and applies emerging technologies and advances as necessary to perform duties in an efficient organized and timely manner. Participate in District/College efforts to increase the diversity of faculty and staff and to address student achievement gaps; active assistance in the creation of a welcoming and inclusive work and educational environment; attend and participate in diversity equity and inclusion trainings and events. Performs related duties as assigned.

Desirable Qualifications
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in the same or similar field. Demonstrated experience ensuring equity diversity and inclusion are effectively addressed in any of the following areas: budgetary or planning processes human resources leadership development professional development implementing culturally responsive curricular or co- curricular activities or programs hiring practices student support services and information services. Prior experience in approaching work and interactions with colleagues and/or students in an equity minded manner. Ability to provide an inclusive and welcoming work/educational environment.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge skills and abilities listed. Commitment to diversity. All applicants must have demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender gender identity sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students faculty and staff. The applicant must be able to demonstrate how their experience with these factors relates to successfully achieving the goals of the position.
Work Schedule
Tuesday - Thursday 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM; Friday 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM; Saturday 7:30 AM -4:00 PM (Schedule and shift are subject to change in accordance with contract or department needs.)
