Job Description
Job Summary:
Our client Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is looking to hire an experienced Mental Health Counselorto work fully in-person in the Counseling And Psychological Services office! This is a contract position (temp-to-perm) lasting the entire Fallsemester (mid-August thru mid-December)with opportunity to become permanent. The hours are flexible 40 hours per week between the office hours of 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.The perfect candidate will be a licensed NYS mental health professional and have at least 2 years of clinical experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Direct Service (65%)
- Provide individual and group therapy services to culturally diverse undergraduate and graduate student population.
- Conduct needs assessments intake evaluations treatment follow-up and appropriate referrals.
- Provide urgent care and crisis intervention.
Administrative (20%)
- Maintain clinical documentation in a thorough and timely manner.
Teamwork and Professional Development (15%)
- Participate in CaPS staff meetings peer consultation group IHS Case Collaboration.
- Attend CaPS supervisory meetings.
- In collaboration with supervisor participate in campus committees programs professional development opportunities and working groups.
Job Requirements:
- Must have a Masters degree in a Mental Health related field.
- Must be a NYS Licensed Mental Health Professional (LCSW LMSW LMHC LMFT).
- Must have at least 2 years of clinical experience.
- Experience working with students or young adults is a plus.
