Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer with expertise in AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE) to support our engineering and design teams. This position plays a key role in the preparation and modification of design deliverables document control and quality compliance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ACADE and the ability to mentor and train others in the software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical design work under close supervision using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Assist in creating and modifying design deliverables according to established standards.
- Support the development of drafting and modeling work based on a variety of engineering inputs.
- Utilize document control procedures and maintain adherence to quality and design standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and quality initiatives.
- Share knowledge of technologies and drafting practices across teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and gain familiarity with client needs and design expectations.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and design best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Expert-level experience with AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE); must be comfortable training others on its use.
- 35 years of day-to-day experience using ACADE in a professional setting.
- Experience with Substation Design Suite (SDS) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) software and other modeling tools.
- Familiarity with engineering standards document control processes and quality procedures.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Education:
- Diploma or Certificate required; Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design-related technology preferred.
