The Party Host will manage a multitude of rental types at the Erie Community Center and park shelters. Our Party Hosts will need to be personable friendly responsible and great with visitors of all ages. A great Party Host will be value organization safety and fun!
The Party Host will also be responsible for the maintenance and tracking of equipment facilities and other items associated with the events. The duties include but are not limited to engaging with guests offering assistance and participating in activities during birthday parties events and rentals to ensure a memorable experience. This position normally follows established routines and will also respond to unusual situations or matters requiring immediate attention.

ANTICIPATED WORK SCHEDULE:
Our ideal candidate will be available to work Friday Saturday and Sunday and other times as needed during scheduled events.
Part-time to include mornings afternoons nights and weekends as needed; not to exceed 130 hours/month on average. Schedule may vary depending on program specific needs.

A combination of education and experience may be considered.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Knowledge of: To perform this job successfully an individual must demonstrate basic knowledge of event equipment use and maintenance facilities operations supplies and anticipates event operational needs. Knowledge of applicable federal state and local laws regulations ordinances and policies including safety regulations also required.
Skills in: Providing outstanding customer service to a diverse guest population; positive and professional working relationships with all Town staff and the community may include instruction communication of rules and regulations and enforcing policies; time management; presenting verbal and written information; the use of standard office equipment computers and various software programs; problem solving; following and enforcing all rules regulations and policies; recognizing safety hazards and sanitation issues and notify supervisors; safely operate a variety of recreation related equipment; remaining composed in emergency situations and working effectively under stressful circumstances; performing CPR First Aid and AEDto level of certification.
Environmental Factors:
Work is performed in a standard indoor/outdoor event environment. Work may involve competing demands performing multiple tasks working to deadlines.
Physical Factors:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and occasionally lift storage boxes and other event supplies and equipment of 30lbs or more. Work may be physically demanding when setting up or tearing down event equipment.
