Job Summary:
Maintenance Technician B are entry level trainees to work with existing technicians to develop proper skill set in the industrial maintenance field.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Learn to perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production equipment.
- Learn the proper use of hand power and precision measuring tools.
- Learn to perform mechanic skills including but not limited to mechanical electrical pneumatic hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Learn to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Learn how to properly diagnose problems replace or repair parts test and make adjustments.
- Learn how to perform and understand the importance of regular preventative maintenance on machines equipment and facilities.
- Learn to detect faulty operations and defective material; report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Learn how to use Maintenance Connection work order software.
Performance Expectations (if applicable):
- General Mechanical aptitude preferred.
- High school graduate or GED preferred.
- Must be able to stand walk bend crouch or sit for long periods work in tight spaces lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
- Must use hand power and shop tools multiple times a day.
- Must be able to distinguish color shade differences.
- Occasionally required to climb balance and kneel.
- Overtime is required on a regular basis including weekends and holidays.
- Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
- Perform and other duties as assigned.
