Oral Surgeon
Overview
The Oral Surgeon plays a pivotal role in our Dental Hospital in Dausa Rajasthan specializing in diagnosing and treating complex dental and oral conditions. With a focus on surgical procedures this position is critical for managing patients requiring advanced surgical interventions including tooth extractions jaw reconstruction and the treatment of impacted teeth. The Oral Surgeon will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of dental professionals to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to patients. This role not only demands technical expertise in oral surgery but also emphasizes patient communication comfort and aftercare management. An ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional patient outcomes through precision care and advanced surgical techniques. The Oral Surgeon will also help in educating and developing junior staff contributing significantly to the continuous improvement of the hospitals services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex oral surgical procedures including extractions implants and reconstructive surgeries.
- Diagnose and assess oral diseases and conditions through clinical examination and imaging techniques.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to ensure patient recovery and comfort.
- Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize advanced surgical equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Manage patient records and document surgical procedures accurately.
- Educate patients about oral health and surgical options available.
- Lead and mentor junior staff and dental interns in surgical practices.
- Stay updated on advancements in oral surgery technologies and techniques.
- Participate in hospital committees and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Work with anesthetists to manage sedation protocols during surgery.
- Conduct consultations and assessments for potential surgical candidates.
- Handle emergency cases such as facial trauma or severe dental infections.
- Ensure compliance with medical standards and ethical practices in all procedures.
- Engage with patients to understand their concerns and provide personalized care.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree.
- Completion of an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program.
- Current dental license to practice in Rajasthan.
- Board certification by a recognized oral surgery board is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in oral surgery practice.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and dental health.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality patient care.
- Proficiency in the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
- Knowledge of pharmacology related to anesthesia and pain management.
